“Have you been down that road? There is no way anybody is going to want to ride a bike down that road.”
~ Road Commissioner
Welcome to Richmond Rampage. In any course description the first thing everyone wants to see is the profile. Here it is…yes, we are in northeastern Illinois, not much to it.
This fall classic will make you question your tire choice. With 60% on pavement, 30% on crushed stone & gravel, and 10% on…unmaintained roads, this packs a different kind of excitement.
All riders will start at 8:30am with the competitive riders lining up at the front and followed by the Juniors, followed by the recreational riders. The course will make a loop of Richmond at a pedestrian pace before heading north onto the prairie path.
