ROAD IS BACK! There is few images in sport that hold a captivate an audience the way a peloton racing along an open does. It is true pageantry in motion and in 2027 you will be part of it!
The 2027 Mid American Road Championships brings road cycling back to the midwest on 3 expansive courses. The terrain will vary from the sharp Kettles in Wisconsin by glaciers 10,000 years ago to the classic lightly farmland that covers most of the middle America. Each course features quiet country roads that will allow road tactics to unfold.
Over the course of the 3 races riders will compete race for coveted points striving to be named Mid American Road Champion at the Boone County Road Race in August. The only question becomes, do you have the legs to do it?
Divisions that will be crowned include:
Women’s:
Category 1, 2, 3, 4
Pre-Collegiate (U18)
Masters 40+, 50+, & 60+
Men’s:
Category 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
Pre-Collegiate (U18)
Masters 40+, 50+, & 60+
Tie breakers:
1) # of events scored
2) Best Finish
3) Finish at Boone County Road Race
Categories may be combined based on participation.
