Itinerary
August 27 - The ride begins at the Paroquet Conference center in Shepherdsville, KY (20 min south of Louisville Airport). The Bourbon & Bicycles tour begins with an optional 40 mile ride to the Jeptha Creed Distillery. Riders roll out enjoying the fall colors. The route becomes increasingly rural before arriving at the Jeptha Creed Farm. For those who choose to not ride will arrive early to the 1st stop and have a few extra minutes to explore the grounds. Now the education begins with the Jeptha Creed Distillery tour (included). After the tour it is time to saddle up and ride through horse country. 30 miles later riders land on the doorsteps of Buffalo Trace. All riders will enjoy a tour and tasting (included) of the famed Buffalo Trace. After the tour and tasting riders will be bussed to Downtown Frankfort for dinner.
August 28 - The day begins with an 8:30am rollout for a 10 mile group spin bound for Woodford Reserve Distillery. Here riders will again be treated to a guided tour (included) exploring all 5 sources of flavor from grain to glass. Leaving Woodford Reserve riders will have the option of the direct 20 mile ride or a 45 mile countryside ride enroute to Four Roses Distillery. Learn how the Spanish influenced Four Roses which led to a truly unique bourbon taste (tour & tasting included). Then it is a short (30 min) transfer to a steakhouse (dinner included).
August 29 - Surrounded in the endless beauty of Kentucky Bluegrass riders roll (15 miles) to Makers Mark Distillery. At Makers Mark enjoy a tour of the Star Hill farm (included) learning how each is cultivated to influence the flavors of bourbon. Saddle up and roll headed to Bardstown (15 miles) for a production tour (included) at the Willett distillery. Finish the day off exploring 3rd Street in Bardstown.
August 30 - Those who don’t need the extra hour of sleep can get a Sunday morning 25 mile ride. At 8:30 am the day formally starts with a 20 mile ride to the Jim Beam distillery. Here riders will get a tour of the Fred B Noe Distillery (included). Experience the cutting edge artistry preserving yesterdays passions and tomorrows taste. The Bourbon & Bicycles tour wraps up with Lunch at the The Kitchen Table Restaurant at the Jim Beam Distillery.
